Udo Dirkschneider, has seen its greatest moments in the history of heavy metal with their fellow Accept. His unique vocal with these shades torn, was one of the brands with which the German group established his career as billing timeless albums Restless And Wild (82), his masterpiece Balls To The Wall ( 83) and Metal Heart (85), a trilogy essential in all heavy club pro.

Since he decided to jump from a boat that was water everywhere to lose freshness and too close to the melodic sounds, Udo has remained true to some parameters where there is little room for innovation.

With varying degrees of success, from the initial Animal House (87) and Mean Machine (88), until the last Mission N º X (2005) and Mastercutor (2007), vocalist Germany has remained undaunted by the new currents of metal.

Stubborn he brings 22 years of his solo career betting on the typical heavy metal ochentenas references, to the cheers of his staunch supporters and detractors nuisance. The truth is that the tough Udo still releasing albums left worthy testimony to his persistence and charisma. Ratified again with the release of Dominator, where their schemes remain unchanged.

Obviously, Accept connections are unquestionable, as has been demonstrated in all his solo albums. If we add that today his former band colleague, Stefan Kaufmann , besides playing the guitar has been in charge of production, mixing and mastering, understand better closer to sounds on recognition.

Whereas UDO past its present condition, it is fair to note that Dominator has interesting things. Although entry to the guitar riffs sound a bit decadent, once the momentary mental regression to mellow sounds, it is accepted that, while not new, yet are attractive and have that hook that has survived to the formation to the present. In this, the most representative moments are found in, "The Boeyman" , simple and marked rhythm like "Dominator" , appellant also an interesting dynamic, alone, or the first single, "Black And White" , with its catchy chorus. Not forgetting "Heavy Metal Heaven" .

compositions are also showing a less aggressive Udo as "Stillnes Of Time" , where the low effectiveness integers. By contrast, faster side stand "Infected" and "Speed \u200b\u200bDemon" , themes where the energy in the album reaches its peak.

Moreover, for those who criticize Mr. Dirkschneider immobility, we recommend the fun entitled "Devil's Rendezvous" , close focus to popular music.

In summary, a new release that should not surprise anyone, with appealing moments, especially when combined with creativity to mix guitar riffs with developments characteristic solo seductive presence.

DESTRUCTION have seen years of this to know what kind of hard to do, what disc type is supposed to do and especially how to do. And It is seldom that the trio could say Germany has ever taken a bad job. However, many of those records, viewed in perspective, maybe they were not that bad. In fact, they lie to that except "The Antichrist" I relocated some of the recent disc combo Teutonic beyond the relevant times necessary to make a review. But the case that having heard this "Day of Reckoning" and several times, I have this feeling sure that together with the aforementioned "The Antichrist", this new album of Destruction is by far the best I have published in its second phase as group. And it is best, at least it is as close to his records of the 80 that have ever been.

Thus, the current DESTRUCTION have a new battery in their ranks have been able to capture the best of the essence of the past, especially of his time on more technical and polished "Release from Agony" and "Cracked Brain" - and mix it with the wisdom of composition that can be seen in his later works, resulting in a perfect album, fucking great, it has absolutely everything from Old School genuine touch of his old albums to the technicalities of that time through "accessibility" of their latest works. At this point imagine it must be complicated, but once there, could be said to have closed a circle and you've reunited with yourself. Either way, the margin of maneuver in which DESTRUCTION move has always been so brief that probably shortened and, in the eyes (ears) of a non-DESTRUCTION started living in 2010 are identical to those of 2005 or 1985.

Topics in this "Day of Reckoning", more than ever, have a hook on the wafer, are catchy, fast, with the right hint of melody and is full of nods to the past. For the first time I think we are facing a Destruction album which highlights the work of the 3 members alike. In the past there was always someone who got bigger role or was more in the background, but in this "Day of Reckoning" that does not happen and both Schmier's voice (even the low!), the guitars of Mike or battery newcomer Vaaver yield the highest level and are has taken all the juice possible. Schmier sings as ever and even ventures some cleans dubbed voice (more akin to that of DESTRUCTION HEADHUNTER) and a guttural scream while Vaaver battery has infinitely more details and arrangements that have never been seen in an album by German band. And what about the little Mike, "Ehh? Here are some of his most inspired riffs and of course, those riffs rockers house brand.

In short, a pure and hard disk thrash metal classic, without moderneces of any kind but musically impeccable, made by metalheads for metalheads and with all that that implies. I firmly believe that in 2010 DESTRUCTION DESTRUCTION are more than ever.
