DESTRUCTION have seen years of this to know what kind of hard to do, what disc type is supposed to do and especially how to do. And It is seldom that the trio could say Germany has ever taken a bad job. However, many of those records, viewed in perspective, maybe they were not that bad. In fact, they lie to that except "The Antichrist" I relocated some of the recent disc combo Teutonic beyond the relevant times necessary to make a review. But the case that having heard this "Day of Reckoning" and several times, I have this feeling sure that together with the aforementioned "The Antichrist", this new album of Destruction is by far the best I have published in its second phase as group. And it is best, at least it is as close to his records of the 80 that have ever been.

Thus, the current DESTRUCTION have a new battery in their ranks have been able to capture the best of the essence of the past, especially of his time on more technical and polished "Release from Agony" and "Cracked Brain" - and mix it with the wisdom of composition that can be seen in his later works, resulting in a perfect album, fucking great, it has absolutely everything from Old School genuine touch of his old albums to the technicalities of that time through "accessibility" of their latest works. At this point imagine it must be complicated, but once there, could be said to have closed a circle and you've reunited with yourself. Either way, the margin of maneuver in which DESTRUCTION move has always been so brief that probably shortened and, in the eyes (ears) of a non-DESTRUCTION started living in 2010 are identical to those of 2005 or 1985.

Topics in this "Day of Reckoning", more than ever, have a hook on the wafer, are catchy, fast, with the right hint of melody and is full of nods to the past. For the first time I think we are facing a Destruction album which highlights the work of the 3 members alike. In the past there was always someone who got bigger role or was more in the background, but in this "Day of Reckoning" that does not happen and both Schmier's voice (even the low!), the guitars of Mike or battery newcomer Vaaver yield the highest level and are has taken all the juice possible. Schmier sings as ever and even ventures some cleans dubbed voice (more akin to that of DESTRUCTION HEADHUNTER) and a guttural scream while Vaaver battery has infinitely more details and arrangements that have never been seen in an album by German band. And what about the little Mike, "Ehh? Here are some of his most inspired riffs and of course, those riffs rockers house brand.

In short, a pure and hard disk thrash metal classic, without moderneces of any kind but musically impeccable, made by metalheads for metalheads and with all that that implies. I firmly believe that in 2010 DESTRUCTION DESTRUCTION are more than ever.
