Led by Jason Netherton, who was one of the original members of the world famous Dying Fetus, this quartet from Baltimore's attack new on the scene with Heirs Of Thievery, fourth official album of the band. In this new musical of the Americans we met a Misery Index more mature, not only musically but also with an own sound and although it can be seen above similarities with Dying Fetus in several passages, we note the intention of the band to find their own identity and present a wider range of hues in the spectrum of Death Metal.
Those familiar with the music of Misery Index, found that compared with Traitors, album Heirs to Thievery predecessor, the band's new offering is an album that has the same elements that have accustomed to his followers, Death Metal furious and precisely executed without falling into the monotony that many other exponents of the genre usually present. Also this is a more dynamic and compact disc featuring a more mature Misery Index with the potential to position itself among the most important bands of the genre.
In terms of production, sound engineering is flawless, which allows to see every detail of every instrument and objectively perceive the complexity of composition and performance of songs that are part of the disc.
One of the biggest attractions of this recording is that although far from new Disclosure of Death Metal or original recording on the market, Misery Index have been commissioned to grab the best elements of Death Metal U.S. and put in a single recording that said, perceived influences are numerous and for a lover gender, this simply represents 11 death metal songs in the style gringo, making an album Thievery Heirs To simply delightful to listen, preferably at full volume and with some good beers.
